PM Modi said- I remember countless meetings with him
Former President Ramnath Kovind said – he was a true patriot
Former President Ramnath Kovind said on the demise of Ratan Tata, he was an embodiment of simplicity and humility. Whenever I used to invite him during banquets at Rashtrapati Bhavan, despite being such a famous industrialist, I have seen his humility. He never seemed like one of the big industrialists of our country. He appeared to be a patriot and a simple man through and through. I have always seen Ratan Tata following the protocol. I have seen how good his thinking was. Most industrialists set up industries for money. But he used to tell everyone that if you want to set up an industry then it should always be in the national interest.
