In the incident of kidnapping of Shivansh, the 7yearold son of a woman resident of Bihar, who was living on rent in the Kotwali police station area of Churu district, the police took immediate action and within just three days, arrested the child from Thane district of Maharashtra, the accused Akhlaq Ilyas Ansari alias Firoz. Son Ilyas Ansari (29), resident of Chino police station, Dungri district, Giridih Jharkhand, has been arrested.
SP Jai Yadav told that on October 4, Kanchan Devi Mandal, wife of Guddu (29), a woman living on rent near Hal Ram Mandir, originally resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar, had lodged a report of kidnapping of her sevenyearold son Shivansh in the Kotwali police station. Whose research is being done by ASI Jaiveer Singh. Considering the seriousness of the incident, a team of ASI Jaiveer Singh, Constable Sunil Kumar and Ankit Kumar was formed under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Lokendra Dadarwal and CO Sunil Kumar Jhajhadia and under the leadership of SHO Mukut Bihari.
SP Yadav said that the formed team was instructed to conduct a thorough investigation and collect evidence and take effective and prompt action for the identification of the kidnapped child and arrest of the accused. With the help of intelligence collection and technical assistance, team member ASI Jaiveer Singh and constable Ankit Kumar arrested the child Shivanshu from Titwala area of Kalyan police station in Thane district of Maharashtra and detained the accused Akhlaq Ilyas Ansari alias Firoz.
The child was kidnapped to take the mother with them.
When the accused was brought to the police station and interrogated, he told that he had kidnapped the child so that he could take his mother Kanchan Devi with him by threatening to kill the child. By taking prompt action in the case, the police succeeded in arresting the child within just 3 days, due to which a serious crime could be avoided. The police are thoroughly interrogating the accused in the case.
