New Delhi: The weather will be dry in most states of the country today. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep during the next 24 hours. Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, Puducherry and Karaikal, Coastal Karnataka till tomorrow. Scattered to widespread light to moderate rainfall will occur over the North East during the week.
Monsoon is bidding farewell from here
According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon will bid farewell to Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and some more parts of Maharashtra during the next 2-3 days. A low pressure area is likely to form over Lakshadweep and adjoining southeast and east central Arabian Sea around October 9.
