US officials confirmed the attack. Yemen's Houthi rebels are supported by Iran. According to officials, various Houthi rebel positions in five locations were bombed by military aircraft and warships. Houthi media reports said seven strikes were carried out on the airport in the major port city of Hodeida and the Houthi-controlled military base of Kathib.
