Share Market Closing 3rd Oct, 2024: After the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Wednesday, October 2, a devastating fall was recorded in the stock market which opened today on Thursday. Today BSE Sensex closed at 82,497.10 points with a fall of 1769.19 points. While Nifty 50 also fell by 546.80 points and closed at 25,250.10 points. After this terrible fall, Indian markets have fallen far below their record high. On Thursday, shares of 28 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the red and shares of only 1 company closed in the green. Similarly, out of 50 Nifty 50 companies, shares of 48 companies closed in the red mark and shares of only 2 companies closed in the green mark.

Biggest fall in Tata Motors shares

Today, among the Sensex companies, Tata Motors shares recorded the biggest decline of 4.08 percent. Apart from this, shares of Larsen & Toubro closed down by 3.95 percent, shares of Reliance Industries by 3.91 percent, shares of Axis Bank by 3.87 percent, shares of Asian Paints by 3.77 percent, shares of Bajaj Finance by 3.61 percent, shares of Maruti Suzuki closed with a fall of 3.48 percent. .

Big loss in these shares also

Shares of Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan, Adani Ports, HDFC Bank, HCL Tech witnessed a major fall of more than 2 per cent and less than 3 per cent. Apart from these, shares of Power Grid, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, TCS, Nestle India and NTPC lost more than 1 percent.

This stock took the lead even in the storm of decline

Shares of Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, State Bank of India and Sun Pharma fell less than 1 percent. On the other hand, shares of Tata Steel closed today with no change. Whereas JSW shares closed with a gain of 1.18 percent even amidst this devastating fall.
