Ahmedabad . Adani Group and Google announced partnership in renewable energy on Thursday. The aim is to advance sustainability goals and add more clean energy to the national grid.
Under this agreement, Adani Group will supply clean energy from the new solarwind hybrid project located at the Renewable Energy Plant in Khavra, Gujarat.
According to the company's statement, commercial operations from the new project may start in the third quarter of 2025.
Adani Group has a large capacity in wind, solar, hybrid and energy storage, enabling the Group to supply energy to commercial and industrial customers from renewable sources. With this they can achieve their target of reducing carbon emissions.
The group plans to focus on merchant, commercial and industrial customers to help industries decarbonise.
The company said this partnership will help Google achieve its carbonfree energy goal of 24×7 while continuing to provide cloud services and operations in India.
This partnership was announced on the completion of 10 years of the 'Google for India' initiative.
On behalf of the giant tech company, it was said that we are partnering with Adani Group for energy solutions. This will help in decarbonization of Google Cloud Services in India.
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) is India's largest and one of the world's largest renewable energy companies.
The world's largest renewable energy plant is being developed by AGEN in Khavda, Gujarat. Its total capacity is 30 gigawatts.
