Telangana Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha on Wednesday created a stir with her remarks against BRS working president KT Rama Rao and also linked him to the divorce of famous Tollywood actors Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Speaking to reporters, Surekha alleged that KTR was the reason behind the divorce of actors Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He alleged that KTR has spoiled the lives of many actresses in the Telugu film industry.
What did the minister allege?
Minister Konda Surekha alleged that KTR was a drug addict who used to organize rave parties for film celebrities. Unable to withstand their atrocities, many actresses gave up their film careers, got married and settled down. Konda Surekha said that KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-Convention Centre. Nagarjuna forces Samantha to go to KTR. Samantha refused. Due to this both of them got divorced.
The minister said that KTR is the reason behind the divorce of Samantha-Naga Chaitanya. Because of him many heroines got married early. He got addicted to drugs and started going to rave parties. He blackmailed and harassed many people. He said that among those affected by this is Rakul Preet who got married because of this.
KT Rama Rao sent legal notice
While talking to media persons on Wednesday, Minister Surekha had made many allegations, and she also made allegations against Akkineni Nagarjuna's family. Responding to Surekha's comments, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that she had made similar baseless allegations earlier also. Former minister and working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party KT Rama Rao has sent a legal notice to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha, demanding withdrawal of her statements. He also asked Surekha to publicly apologize within 24 hours. He also asked the minister that he should think about how the women and children of his house would feel when a person like him made such allegations. Several senior BRS leaders condemned his comments. He has described his statement as objectionable and inappropriate.

Actor Prakash Raj also questioned the minister's “shameless” politics and asked why women working in films are considered inferior beings. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu accused Minister Konda Surekha of belittling her and dragging her name into the political battle. He appealed to the minister to act responsibly and respect the privacy of individuals. In response to Surekha's derogatory remarks against BRS working president KT Rama Rao, in which the actress' name was also dragged, Samantha posted on her Instagram story.
