Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, while Chief Minister MK Stalin has reshuffled his cabinet and appointed Udhayanidhi as Deputy CM, three ministers took oath at Raj Bhavan today. Among these, DMK leader Senthil Balaji has once again got entry in the Stalin cabinet. Before getting bail from the Supreme Court, Senthil Balaji had spent 15 months in jail in a money laundering case. Govi Chezhiyan, SM Nassar and KS Masthan took oath as ministers along with Senthil Balaji.

Udayanidhi is the third generation leader of the Karunanidhi family.

This cabinet reshuffle is also important because with it MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin has been made the Deputy Chief Minister. He is the third generation leader in his family to hold a key role in the Tamil Nadu government, after his grandfather and DMK veteran M Karunanidhi and his father MK Stalin. The 46-year-old leader did not take oath at today's event as he was a minister before being promoted to the No. 2 post in the state government.

The Governor approved the portfolios given to the new ministers.

Meanwhile, on the recommendation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Governor RN Ravi has approved the portfolios allotted to newly appointed ministers V Senthil Balaji, Dr Govi ​​Chezhiyan, R Rajendran and SM Nassar.
