Manteo (North Carolina): Accidents of private planes have become common in America. Every day someone or the other becomes victim of a plane crash here. This time a plane has met with an accident in Manteo, North Carolina. It is being told that many people have died due to the crash of a single engine plane at the 'Wright Brothers National Memorials First Flight Airport'. However, no exact information has been revealed yet about how many people were on board this plane and how many people have died.
Giving information, the National Park Service said that all the people on board the plane are feared dead. The wreckage of the plane has been recovered. A statement issued by the National Park Service said that the accident occurred at 5 pm on Saturday, when the plane was attempting to land at the airport. The plane caught fire after the crash. The Kill Devil Hills District Fire Department and other local fire departments extinguished the fire.
Airport closed after accident
The statement said that airport operations have been closed for the time being following the plane crash. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate this entire accident. The Federal Aviation Administration has also been informed. Till now no concrete reason for the plane accident has been found. There is a possibility of an accident occurring due to technical glitches. (AP)
