Dough with ice water: If you want to keep the roti soft for a long time, then before kneading the dough, take water in a big bowl and add some 6-7 pieces of ice in it. Now knead the dough with this water. Kneading the dough with ice water makes the rotis soft and smooth. After kneading the dough, cover it with a wet cloth. By doing this the rotis become soft and fluffy.

Sift the flour: If your rotis have a lot of lumps and pearls then sift them thoroughly through a sieve before kneading the dough. Due to this, the thick and coarse part of the flour gets separated due to which the rotis become soft.

Knead dough by adding salt to lukewarm water: Knead the dough by adding salt to lukewarm water. This keeps the rotis soft for a long time. When you knead the dough, apply some ghee on it and leave it to set for 10-15 minutes, this makes the roti soft.

Keep wrapped in wrapper: As soon as you make the roti, let it cool slightly and wrap it in a wrapper. This will prevent the rotis from becoming hard for a long time.
