Hindu community protested in Himachal Pradesh today, accused Sukhu government of cover-up – Top News Bulletin


Shimla: The spark of protest that started against illegal construction in Sanjauli Masjid in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh has now spread in the entire state. Today the Hindu community is taking to the streets and protesting all over Himachal Pradesh. According to reports, protests are being held at all the district headquarters including Shimla. There is so much anger among Hindu organizations over the Sanjauli Masjid dispute that today there is a plan to surround the Municipal Corporation office in Shimla. Hindu organizations say that the Sukhu government is covering up the Sanjauli Masjid dispute and if their demands are not met, the Jail Bharo movement will start after October 5.

'Wherever illegal mosques are, they should be removed'

Expressing their protest, Hindu organizations are continuously demanding that wherever there are illegal mosques including Sanjauli, they should be removed. Apart from this, their movement is also going on demanding illegal infiltration and abolition of Waqf Board. Let us tell you that the Hindu side is continuously attacking regarding illegal mosques in Himachal. According to the data, there were 393 mosques in Himachal Pradesh in the year 2021 but now their number has increased to 520. Sirmaur district has the maximum number of 130 mosques in Himachal Pradesh. Hindu organizations claim that most of these mosques are illegal.

Demonstration started in Shimla on 11 September

On September 11, Hindu organizations held a massive demonstration in Shimla over the alleged illegal construction taking place in Sanjauli Masjid. After this, demonstrations started in other areas of Himachal Pradesh also on the issue of infiltration, illegal construction of mosques and verification of outsiders. On September 13, people of Hindu community took to the streets over the illegal construction of a mosque in Mandi. This wind reached Bilaspur on 14 September and Kullu on 16 September. On September 19, there was a protest in Nerwa demanding action against illegal infiltration and then on September 21, the demand for abolishing the Waqf Board was intensified in Sirmaur also.
