Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly on Friday. Earlier in July, he presented Israel's case for the war in Gaza before a joint session of the US Congress. He received praise from the US House for this speech and also from some critics in his country.

“In his view, he considers any such trip to New York to be a leveraged position on the larger stage of world affairs,” said Yossi Shain, a professor of international relations at Georgetown and Tel Aviv University.
