Watching artists live is a different experience – Aditi Sharma


New Delhi. Actress Aditi Sharma, who starred in the teleplay 'Janpath Kiss', said that she is not working in television at the moment, but she might do a TV show next year. Aditi, who was last seen in the 2022 TV show 'Katha Ankahi', has opened up about making a comeback on TV with a lead role.

“I am working on some Punjabi films right now. I am not doing television right now, maybe next year I will do a TV show,” she told .

Talking about shooting for the play 'Janpath Kiss', Aditi told : “This was the first time we were recording a play, and it is very different from performing it on stage. We didn't know how we would record it. It was a lot of fun to rehearse. There were a lot of artistes from Delhi's theatre groups. It was great to work with them and learn from them.”

On how she feels about performing plays on digital platforms as compared to traditional theatre, Aditi, who rose to fame with 'India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj', said, “I think acting on stage or watching actors live is a different experience. I have worked in many mediums like TV, films, theatre. But I think the joy you get on stage as an artiste is completely different.”

He said that so it is being recorded and digitized. As is happening with a lot of plays these days. So I think it is a great thing for the future, but watching it live is something different. I think it is a great thing to reach a larger audience, because it is being dubbed in different languages. People from different cities can also watch it. This is a great thing for the future.

In 'Janpath Kiss' she plays the role of an air hostess who comes under media attention due to an accidental incident in a public place.

On the audience's engagement with the digitised play, Aditi says, “I don't think the engagement is that different. But the experience is definitely different. I think it was fantastic.”

Talking about social media, Aditi said, “I think social media is having too much influence. I know people are concerned, even casting people check your Instagram. I think it's a very strange phase in society right now where whatever we do, we just want to upload a story.”

'Janpath Kiss' is filmed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi. It is directed by Ranjit Kapoor. It stars Zeeshan Ayyub, Yashpal Sharma, Sunil Upadhyay and Vineet Kumar in lead roles and can be watched on Dish TV Rangmanch Active, D2H Rangmanch Active and Airtel Spotlight.
