Dehradun. A big step has been taken to promote research and innovation in the field of higher education in Uttarakhand. An important agreement (MoU) has been signed between the Higher Education Department and Chevening and Infosys Springboard.
The objective of this agreement is to promote research and innovation in the field of higher education. Under the 'Chevening Uttarakhand Scholarship', every year 5 students of the state will get the opportunity to study at the postgraduate level in the prestigious universities of Britain. Apart from this, free training and courses will be provided to teachers and students through virtual medium through 'Infosys Springboard'.
State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave information about this MoU on social media account. He wrote, “In the program organized at the camp office, MoU was signed between the Higher Education Department and Chevening and Infosys Springboard with the aim of promoting research and innovation in the field of higher education. Through the Chevening Uttarakhand Scholarship, every year five students of the state will be sent to the prestigious university of Britain for postgraduate study. Along with this, free training and courses will be made available to teachers and students in virtual medium through Infosys Springboard.”
He further wrote, “Certainly after this MoU, the students of the state will get new opportunities for research, innovation, scholarship, entrepreneurship development and internship, which will prove to be a milestone in the upliftment of the students. Our government is continuously working to make the youth of the state skilled. For this, many technologybased courses have been started in the higher educational institutions of the state.”
