How dangerous was Qubaisi?
Hezbollah missile commander Ibrahim Qubaisi was a central figure in Hezbollah's missile capabilities for decades. Qubaisi joined Hezbollah in the 1980s. He commanded several missile units, especially the precision-guided missile program. He was actively involved in Hezbollah's military strategy against Israel and had close ties with senior military leaders.
Involvement in kidnapping and murder of Israeli soldiers
Kubaisi played an important role in Hezbollah's Mount Dove operation in 2000. Three Israeli soldiers were kidnapped in this operation. These soldiers later died. Their bodies were returned in a prisoner exchange in 2004. Participation in this important operation made Ibrahim Kubaisi very strong in Hezbollah.
