Chhapra. After a video of waving a controversial flag in Bihar's Saran district went viral, the police took action and detained two youths.
The video was made during the MiladunNabi procession in Kopa Bazaar under Kopa police station on Monday. As per the instructions of Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish, the process of investigating and registering an FIR under relevant sections in Kopa police station is being done to take further action. Interrogation of both the youths is going on.
Police said that on the occasion of the festival, a video of waving a controversial flag in the district went viral. During investigation, it was found that this viral video is from Kopa police station area. Police took action in this case and detained two people.
According to Saran Police, “A video has been received through social media, in which the flag had the controversial symbol. This is a clear violation of several acts including the 'Indian Flag Code2002'.”
The police has seized the controversial flag and is investigating the entire matter. The police claims that strict action will be taken against the persons involved in this.
The police have appealed to the general public to not pay attention to rumours and cooperate with the policeadministration. Strict action will be taken against those who spread rumours.
