MoU signed between Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University and Agricultural University Banda


Bikaner. An alumni meet was organized on the foundation day of Agriculture College Bikaner under Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agriculture University. The chief guest of the program was Vice Chancellor of Banda Agriculture University Dr. N.P. Singh and the special guest was Director Extension of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agriculture University Meerut Dr. P.K. Singh. The program was presided over by Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar.


MoU signed between SKRAU and Agriculture University Banda

In the program, an MoU was signed between Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University Bikaner and Banda Agricultural University, Uttar Pradesh. Dean of Agriculture College Dr. PK Yadav said that now there will be exchange in education, research and extension work between Banda Agricultural University and Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University Bikaner. On this occasion, Finance Controller Rajendra Kumar Khatri, International Head of Kaveri Seeds and alumnus of Agriculture College Dr. Virendra Singh, President of KAJRI Bikaner Dr. Navratan Panwar along with all the Deans, Directors, Professors and more than 100 alumni from different states of the country including 2 alumni from abroad were present.

These students were honored

On this occasion, Tanisha Ranwa was honoured with a certificate for the best player, Manish for the best NSS student, Sunil Kookana for the best NCC student and Nitin Doda for the best graduate student in the field of education, Urmila for the best postgraduate student and Shipra Sharma for the best Vidyavaspati student.

Banda Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. N. P. Singh said that agricultural scientists and students should spend 2 hours daily in the field. He also said that despite the low number of teachers and staff in the Agricultural College, research work is being done at a good level on the college's field. He told the need to get NAAC accreditation for upgrading the educational level. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University Meerut's Director Extension Dr. P. K. Singh said that despite adverse climatic conditions and lack of resources, the college is performing well in the field of agriculture.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar said that such events inspire new students and they get guidance from senior students. He said that our teachers and staff may be less in number, but they are constantly working for the upliftment of students. Former student Virendra Singh Devda said that today private companies are moving ahead in the agriculture sector and there are ample employment opportunities. Therefore, students should choose private sector along with government jobs.

While presenting the progress report of the Agriculture College in the last 37 years, the college dean Dr. P K Yadav said that better facilities are being provided in the laboratories and hostels of the college. For this, he thanked Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar. Assistant Director Dr. Sushil Kharia expressed his gratitude. Dr. Sushil Kumar conducted the stage.
