In the case of theft of jewellery worth lakhs of rupees from a house, the accused along with the buyer goldsmith was arrested

Udaipur. A few days ago, the police team of Ambamata police station of Udaipur district arrested an accused Gautam Chauhan alias Nandu son of Narendra and goldsmith Hardik son of Chandrashekhar resident of Nadakhara district Udaipur who bought the stolen goods in the case of theft of jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees from a house in the police station area and recovered stolen jewellery worth about 5.50 lakh rupees.

SP Yogesh Goyal said that on September 5, Rajesh Jain, a resident of Adinath Nagar Fatehpura, had lodged a report in Ambamata police station about the theft of gold and silver jewellery and cash from his house. In this case, a team formed under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Ojha and CO Kailash Boriwal and the leadership of SHO Dr. Hanwant Singh Rajpurohit had revealed the incident and earlier an accused Gautam son of Kundan Lal was arrested and a juvenile was detained.

During police interrogation, the arrested accused Gautam had admitted to stealing from Rajesh Jain's house along with his friend Gautam alias Nandu. On this, the police team formed traced and arrested him. During interrogation, the arrested accused Gautam alias Nandu told that he sold the stolen jewellery to Hardik of his own village. On this, the police raided Hardik's shop in Surajpol and recovered the stolen jewellery worth Rs 5.50 lakh and arrested the accused.

SP Goyal said that a total of 7 cases are registered against the previously arrested accused Gautam son of Kundan Lal in various police stations of Udaipur city and eight cases are registered against the currently arrested accused Gautam Chauhan alias Nandu in various police stations.
