DoT has suggested users to avoid fake calls and SMS. These days, incidents of financial fraud through fake calls and messages have increased rapidly. The government has made big preparations to curb them. A few months ago, the government launched the Chakshu portal to report such fake calls and messages. At the same time, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) have given strict instructions to telecom operators to curb them.

These days, smartphones are not just a means to make or listen to calls, but users use them for many purposes, including transferring money. In such a situation, even a little carelessness on the part of users can cause trouble. Hackers cheat users through fake calls and messages.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has advised users to report fake calls and messages through its official X handle and has told how they can report fake calls and messages through 3 easy steps. For this, the user will have to resort to the government's Chakshu portal. Based on the reports made on this portal, the Department of Telecommunications has blocked more than 1 crore SIM cards.

First step- The Department of Telecommunications said that first of all you have to visit the Sanchar Saathi portal (https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/).

Third step- After this, you will have to fill the form to report fraud/spam call or message.

While filling the form, ensure that the information provided is entered correctly so that the Department of Telecommunications and TRAI can jointly take action against the fake number. DoT first investigates the number reported by the users. After this, the number is blocked. In this way, the users do not receive any call or message from that number again.
