Mumbai On the set of 'Laughter Chef Fun Unlimited', television actress Nia Sharma celebrated Janmashtami by breaking the dahi handi in Govinda's style. Nia has shared a video from the set of the show on Instagram. This show is hosted by Bharti Singh. Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi judges it.
In the clip, Nia is seen breaking a dahi handi, which is usually filled with curd or milk.
He wrote in the caption, “I have never had more fun. The team had more faith in me than I had in myself. Thank you. Janmashtami special tonight on Laughter Chef Fun Unlimited.”
Dahi Handi festival is mostly celebrated in Maharashtra and Goa and it falls on the day after Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Gokulashtami, the day when Lord Krishna is born.
The celebration honors an incident from the childhood of Lord Krishna, who was known to steal butter or curd from his neighborhood.
Recently, Nia shared a behind the scenes video from the sets of her show, which showed how the production team took away her phone before the shooting of the new episode began.
In the clip, Nia is heard saying, “How do I look? She is snatching my phone… before she snatches my phone… I want to show everyone my new look for 'Laughter Chefs'.”
The show also stars Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Vaidya, Karan Kundrra, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, Sudesh Lahiri and Kashmera Shah.
In the new episode, the star cast is seen celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi on the sets of the show. 'Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment' airs on Colors.
Apart from the laughter show, Nia is also playing the role of a witch named Nishigandha in the fantasythrillerromance 'Suhagan Chudail'. It also stars Zain Ibad Khan and Debchandrima Singha Roy in lead roles.
