New Delhi. World record holder 31yearold Colleen Quigley recently shared a video of her workout routine on Instagram. In the video, Colleen Quigley gave information about tongue exercises and also demonstrated them.
In the video, she pulls her tongue straight out, then moves it left, right, up and down. She maintains this action for a few seconds and then gives a video message.
In the video clip, she says, “Sometimes you drool on yourself. This type of tongue exercise is amazing. You can try it too. This exercise activates the muscles of the tongue and jaw, which are connected to the pelvis through the myofascial system of connective tissues of the body.”
Quigley credits Dr. Noah Moos for teaching her this exercise. He introduced her to this method of sticking out her tongue. Dr. Noah Moos is a chiropractic specialist working in Texas and has assisted various members of Team USA.
Colleen Quigley admits that tongue stretching is uncomfortable and she looks crazy doing it, but she says the results are worth it. These exercises can be beneficial for your entire body in terms of improving your health. I am not a doctor but I believe that tongue exercises help relax the muscles.
Quigley, who competed at the 2016 Olympic Games, is a steeplechase specialist who still trains hard on the track. Before she does so, she follows a certain routine to prepare herself.
It is known that tongue exercises have been given in speech therapy for a long time. Apart from this, it is also done regularly by professionals like voice artists.
