Here's 15 glorious minutes of the upcoming game from Dead Cells creator Windblown

Motion Twin has gifted us with a 15-minute preview of the sequel to its critically acclaimed action-platformer Dead Cells, Windblown.

The uncut segment takes us through the basics and offers a nearly spoiler-free look at “what it's like to step into the shoes of a Leaper for the first time.”

To save you time, here is the full fifteen-minute video:

“In Windblown, players will leap at high speeds across vast, shifting islands in the sky while using a variety of powerful weapons to destroy the Sentinels, deadly minions of the Vortex that threaten their home,” Motion Twin previews.

“Movement is simple yet precise, with dashes launching the player between floating islands and platforms, evading deadly attacks from Sentinels and moving toward the player's next inevitable encounter. From the first jump into the Fall biome and beyond, players will outrun countless adversaries while collecting different weapons, trinkets, gifts, and fish to help unleash their Jumper's full potential.”

While we don't have a firm release date just yet, the end of the trailer reveals that Motion Twin still plans to release the game in early access on PC in 2024… and there are only three months left in 2024, of course.

Motion Twin's Windblown was announced late last year. Described as “tough but always fair,” it's a combat-focused adventure (playable solo or with up to three friends online) that puts players in the role of Leapers, warriors tasked with protecting their homeworld, The Ark, from the deadly Vortex and his Sentinel minions.
