Union Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda has slammed the Punjab government for mismanaging Ayushman Bharat in Punjab. The Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (PHANA) in Punjab has announced a ban on cashless treatment under the government's health insurance schemes, including the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). The decision has been taken in response to the state government's outstanding debt of Rs 600 crore.

Questioning Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Nadda said, 'Why did Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's government not pay the dues of private hospitals? Before the elections, he had promised to build more clinics and health centres, but today his government cannot work in the interest of the poor.'

Union Health Minister Nadda has urged CM Mann to clear the dues of hospitals as soon as possible. Nadda said that many families, especially hardworking farmers, are benefiting under the Ayushman Bharat program. Instead of hailing the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, Chief Minister Mann should focus on the worsening situation in Punjab.
