Punjab Cricket Association Colts team won the 29th All India JP Atre Cricket Tournament

Punjab. Punjab Cricket Association Colts defeated Delhi Challengers cricket team by 43 runs to win the 29th All India JP Atre Cricket Tournament. The match was held at IS Bindra International Cricket Stadium in Mohali.

Mr Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Hon’ble Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha was the Chief Guest on this special occasion. He presented the prizes to the winning team which included a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh and a glittering trophy. The runnerup team Delhi Challengers was awarded Rs 1.50 lakh and a trophy. Other prominent personalities present at the event included Mr Chandrashekhar (IPS), Mr Vivek Atre (former IAS), and Captain Sushil Kapoor, the tournament coordinator.

Best Player of the Tournament

Several players performed well during the tournament, including:

1. Best Bowler: Ayush Jamwal (Delhi Challengers) took most wickets in 5 matches.

2. Best Batsman: Harnoor Singh (PCA Colts) scored 300 runs in 5 matches.

3. Best All Rounder and Player of the Tournament: Lalit Yadav (Delhi Challengers) with 228 runs and 7 wickets in 5 matches.

4. Man of the Match of the Final match: Sohrab Dhaliwal (PCA Colts) scored 74 runs and took 3 wickets.

5. Best fielder: Shahbaz Singh Sandhu (PCA Colts).

Match Details

PCA Colts, batting first, scored 298 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Opener Harnoor Singh scored 89 runs, Sohrab Dhaliwal scored an unbeaten 74 runs, Abhay Chaudhari scored 52 runs and Shahbaz Singh scored 27 runs.

Delhi Challengers chased the target and were all out for 255 runs in 47.1 overs. Rishi Dhawan scored 76 runs, while Mahipal Lomror scored 48 and Lalit Yadav scored 37 runs. In bowling, Sohrab Dhaliwal took 3 wickets, while Sukhdeep Bajwa, Manish Sheoran and Harjas Singh took 22 wickets each.

This victory is not only a matter of pride for the Punjab Cricket Association Colts but also an inspiration for the cricket lovers across Punjab.
