These accounts are occupying space on Google's servers unnecessarily. Not only this, hackers can also take advantage of these unused accounts.
Google has now taken a big step and decided to close these accounts. As soon as these crores of unused accounts are closed, the space on Google's server will be freed up, which will benefit new users. Google said in its blog that it will currently block those Gmail accounts that have not been used for 2 years or more. These accounts become inactive when not used for a long time.
This is how you can save your Gmail account
If you have created a Gmail account which you have not used for a long time, then your Gmail account can also be closed. However, users can save these accounts if they want. For this, the user has to log in to that Gmail account and read the email received in the inbox or send mail to someone. In this way, this account will become active and can be saved from this big action of Google.
