Ghaziabad. Ghaziabad's Indirapuram police station has arrested a driver who ran away after stealing 10 lakh rupees from his employer. 8 lakh rupees of the stolen money has been recovered from his possession. The arrested accused was working as a driver at his employer's house for the past 7 years. He got greedy after seeing a bag full of notes.
Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad's Indirapuram police station has arrested the driver who ran away after stealing Rs 10 lakh from his employer. Police has told that on 8th September, the victim living in Sector 62, Noida had complained to the police that on 4th August, her driver had dropped her off at her beautician in Indirapuram and then ran away with a bag kept in the car, which contained about Rs 10 lakh and jewellery. In this case, the police had registered an FIR and formed teams to search for him.
During the investigation of this case, the Indirapuram police station team, based on the information of an informer, arrested the driver Azad (37) who carried out the crime on September 16 from near Buddha Chowk, Vasundhara. Out of the stolen cash of Rs 10 lakh, Rs 8 lakh was recovered from the possession of the arrested Azad.
During police interrogation, the accused told that he had been driving for his employer S.Q. Ahmed, resident of Sector 62, Noida for 7 years. On 4th August, he had kept a bag in the car which contained a bundle of notes. Seeing this, greed and dishonesty arose in his mind and he ran away with it.
