Apple AirPods 4 with ANC and other features: check price

Apple unveiled the AirPods 4 at its “Its Glowtime” event on Monday. Its latest portable audio product brings improvements to the listening experience, in addition to the introduction of active noise cancellation (ANC) on the base AirPods. They also gain features that leverage machine learning and gesture control. Along with the AirPods 4’s debut at Apple Park, the Cupertino-based tech giant has also made the switch to USB Type-C on the AirPods Max, which replaces the proprietary Lightning port on the earbuds.

AirPods 4 Price

The AirPods 4 are available in two variants – with and without ANC. The AirPods 4 (without ANC) start at $129 (roughly Rs. 11,000) in the US, while the AirPods 4 with ANC are priced at $179 (roughly Rs. 15,000). Apple’s new audio product is available for pre-orders starting today and will go on sale from September 20.

AirPods 4 specifications

AirPods 4 now come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), plus a dedicated Transparency mode — features that were previously limited to AirPods Pro (2nd generation) and AirPods Max. They’re equipped with Apple’s new H2 chip and feature a new acoustic architecture that’s claimed to improve sound quality. AirPods 4 also offer personalized spatial audio, adaptive audio, and conversational awareness.

Apple’s latest entry-level TWS earbuds also come with machine learning, allowing the user to leverage gestures like nodding to take a call. They also offer voice isolation and force sensors, similar to the AirPods Pro (2nd generation). The company has introduced a new USB Type-C charging case that offers a total playback time of 30 hours. Additionally, the AirPods 4 now support wireless charging capability as well.

Other announcements

In addition to the AirPods 4, Apple has also introduced new colors for the AirPods Max, its over-ear headphones. They are now available in blue, midnight, and starlight and offer personalized spatial audio.

The tech giant has also updated its AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with new health-focused features. They now come with a built-in hearing test feature that allows the user to check their hearing. The AirPods Pro (2nd generation) are also hearing aid compatible with the introduction of a new Noise app and custom hearing profile options.
